<p>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To facilitate designation of a destination for multiple address transmis sion by grouping a plurality of destinations, registering the group to an address directory, sub-grouping destinations in the group, based on communication systems and registering the sub-groups. SOLUTION: Individuals, who are registered in an individual dependent address directory, are registered as arbitrary groups, and individual members registered in each group are divided further into 'fax members' and 'electronic mail members' and are registered. When an address directory edit function is selected, an address retrieval menu is displayed, and data of the individual dependent address directory and a group address directory, where a top of reading is a character displayed on a top character display area 208 are retrieved. Contents displayed on retrieval result display areas 209-211 indicate the name of the retrieved data or the group name, and when the data are data stored in the group address directory, indication of 'group' is made in front of the group name.</p> |
