PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To obtain an image forming device capable of eliminating a defect in quality in image recording caused by a trouble of an image forming element or a functional failure or capable of making the defect invisible on a print without changing an image forming unit. SOLUTION: An electronic driver is equipped with a circuit for measuring the output characteristic of each electronic driver. A control means 10 is equipped with a means for deciding the content of the functional failure of a driven image forming element by referring to the measured output characteristic and a correction means for eliminating a functional failure or removing the influence of the functional failure which is seen on the print formed by this image forming device.
