PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide the control technique of a summarized information updating cycle capable of evading load concentration on a return channel in a bidirectional type service in which broadcasting and the Internet are merged. SOLUTION: In this control method of the summarized information updating cycle in a bidirectional type service provision system, response conditions from a user and the load conditions of a device are recorded (steps 22-24), the response conditions from the user and the load conditions of the device thereafter are estimated based on the recorded response conditions from the user and load conditions of the device and the time period of the summarization and redistribution of responses from the user is calculated (steps 25-28).
