PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a totally enclosed outer cooling fan motor, which can improve cooling. SOLUTION: A motor main body, provided with a cooling fin 10 having a plurality of fins in the direction of a rotating shaft 7 on the outer periphery of a stator frame 2, a fan 11 fitted to the rotating shaft 7 so that it faces the end part of the motor main body 1 and a fan cover 12 which covers the cooling fin 10 and the fan 11 are installed. The fan cover 12 is fixed to the cooling fin 10, so that an intake route 12a and an exhaust route 13 are formed by the fan cover 12 and the cooling fin 10, and thus cooling can be improved.
