PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To enable light of color used in a light source to irradiate as the light of bright color without muddiness even for back light in which the light from the light source is irradiated through a light guide plate and a light diffusion plate provided on the surface of the light guide plate. SOLUTION: This color back light is provided with a light guide plate 21 introducing light through a side wall and irradiating in a plane shape from one surface side and plural color light sources 22 (22R, 22G, 22B) emitting different color light, e.g. three colors of red(R), green(G) and blue(B) on the side wall of the light guide plate 21. Then, a color filter sheet 24 is provided on one surface side, and in the color filter sheet, color filter parts 24R, 24G, 24B which correspond to the color of the plural color light sources 22 mentioned above, are alternately formed. Further, a field sequential liquid crystal display element uses this back light as a time division driving back light. |
