PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a digital image processing method where an original image is printed with magnification with high image quality by means of simple data processing. SOLUTION: This digital image processing method includes a process, where a size X of an original is acquired, a process where a size Y of a print paper sheet is acquired, a process where a magnification Z is calculated from the ratio of the original size X to the print paper size Y, a process where resolution of a printer is decided to be a proper value P, a process where reading resolution S=P×Z of a scanner is calculated by acquiring the magnification Z and the print resolution P, a process where the scanner 2 whose reading resolution is set to be nearly S=P×Z reads an image of the original with the size X, and the digital image data are temporarily stored in a memory, and a process where the printer whose print resolution is set nearly to P prints out the digital image data stored in the memory on the print paper sheet with the size Y.
