CEMENT FORMULATION

A formulation and method of producing a shaped cementitious article having either a reduced respirable size silica particle content or a low propensity to release air borne respirable silica or both. The formulation comprises cementitious material, a siliceous material and a low bulk density material. The density of the product is preferably 1.2 g/cm<3> or less and the low bulk density is preferably substantially calcium silicate hydrate. The applicant has found that with such a density and/or low bulk density material in the article, the product provides a substantially reduced amount of respirable size silica when cut.
