The invention relates to a method for filling containers (10) with a liquid. According to said method, a dispersion is produced from the liquid and an inert gas and the containers (10) are filled with said dispersion. The filled containers (10) are subsequently sealed. The inventive method provides a means for reliably bottling vegetable oil using, for example, nitrogen as the inert gas. For carrying out said method, a device is used that contains a gas-supplying means (1).
