A buckle (1) for a watch band has a housing (3) connected to the watch band, a pair of push plates (9) provided in the housing so as to be moved in a lateral direction, and a pair of springs (13) for urging the push plates. A pair of stopper pins (10) are provided for stopping the push plates (9) urged by the springs (13). A cover (4) having a lock pin (14) is pivotally connected to an end of the housing. The cover (4) is provided such that the lock pin (14) is inserted into an opening (19) of the housing and engaged with hooks of the push plates (9).
