A filter press cake dosing apparatus, comprising a double screw (1) mounted in a rotary hopper (2), is new. An Independent claim is also included for an extruder equipped with the above apparatus. Preferred Features: The double screw (1) contacts the hopper wall and extends along the wall to a product outlet opening (4) at the hopper bottom. The screws of the double screw rotate in the same direction and in the same or opposite direction as the hopper (2). The hopper (2) is connected by a housing (3) to a pump (5), the transport capacity of which is exceeded by the double screw (1). The rotational rates of the screws and the hopper are 20-100 RPM and 1-5 RPM, respectively.
