SOLUTION: In an image forming method consisting of an image receiving liquid film forming process for forming an image receiving liquid film 200 on the surface of a transfer member 10, an image receiving liquid film image forming process applying an image constituting agent to the image receiving liquid film 200 to form an image and a transfer process transferring the image receiving liquid film 200 to an image support 5 along with the image formed by the image constituting agent 121, the transfer process is a process bringing the image receiving liquid film 200 into contact with the image support 5 simultaneously with or immediately after the ejection of a solidifying liquid 61 to the interface of the transfer member 1 and the image receiving liquid film 200 to transfer and fix the same. A transfer fixing apparatus adaptable to this image forming method and an image forming apparatus to which the image forming method is adapted are obtained.
