PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an endoscope which prevents an LG fiber from being deteriorated or damaged when an autoclave sterilization or other disinfection is formed, illuminates a wide area, and is bendable. SOLUTION: In a first through hole 11a on a distal end frame 11, a solid body photographing element unit 12 is incorporated. In a second through hole 11b, an illumination optical system 31 is incorporated. Then illumination optical system 31 is constituted of an illumination lens 32 which is a low steam- permeability member, and an LG fiber flux 33 wherein a clad layer by a hydrophobic silica aerogel phase, which covers a core portion 33a in a manner to illuminate a wide range facing the base end surface of the illumination lens 32, is excellent in heat insulation property, and is a low steam-permeability member, is provided. The illumination lens 32 is airtightly bonded to the distal end frame 11 by a metal bonding. The LG fiber flux 33 is inserted from an opening on the base end surface side of the second through hole 11b, and integrally fixed with an adhesive 33c of a low vapor-permeability under a state being in contact with the base end surface of the illumination lens 32. |
