PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To set a trigger level independently of the weight of a building and also facilitate the adjustment of that level. SOLUTION: A trigger mechanism for base isolation device comprises a building 3 supported on a ground 1 through a base isolation device, a plurality of one side band plates 18 of which both ends are fixed and laminated onto the ground 1, a plurality of the other band plates 23 which are laminated individually through the plurality of laminated one side band plates 18, crossed with the plurality of one side band plates 18, and of which both ends are fixed to the building 3, and an actuator 29 capable of pressing a crossed position between the one side band plates 18 and the other band plates 23.
