PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To slowly reduce the speed of a vehicle during automatic braking control, and to reduce noises during braking by suppressing operation sounds. SOLUTION: A cutoff valve device (opening/closing valve SC1, SC2) is provided in a main liquid pressure path for communicating and connecting a modulator (opening/closing valve PC1 to PC8) with a master cylinder MC, an auxiliary liquid pressure source is communicated and connected between the cutoff valve device and the modulator, and a switch valve device (switch valve SA1, SA2) is connected to the auxiliary liquid pressure source, the switch valve device being provided for selectively switching a first position for the baking liquid pressure of a wheel cylinder by a first pressure increase gradient and a second position for increasing the braking liquid pressure of the wheel cylinder by a smaller second pressure increase gradient. While the cutoff valve device is closed and the switch valve device is switched to the second position, automatic braking control is performed by the output braking liquid pressure of a liquid pressure generator.
