PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a lid material which is sufficient in adhesive strength and capable of preventing a polyethylene layer from being broken and peeled by using an aqueous emulsion of an ethylene-vinyl acetate copolymer having specific vinyl acetate content and an ethylene-methacrylic acid copolymer having specific methacrylic acid content for a thermally adhesive resin layer. SOLUTION: In the lamination of a lid material, a base layer 1, an adhesive layer 2, an aluminum foil layer 3, a thermoplastic resin layer 4 and a thermally adhesive resin layer 5 are laminated successively from an external surface. The thermoplastic resin layer 4 is formed of a copolymer of ethylene with acrylic acid or acrylic acid derivative. The thermally adhesive resin layer 5 is formed of a single body or a mixture of an aqueous emulsion of an ethylene- vinyl acetate copolymer of 20-30% in vinyl acetate content and/or an aqueous emulsion of an ethylene-methacrylic acid copolymer of 5-15% in methacrylic acid content. When the lid material is used for a paper container, a specified heat adhesive strength can be maintained, and a polyethylene layer on the inner surface is prevented from being broken and peeled. |
