PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To obtain specified deceleration power and to suppress the abnormal tones based on the resonance phenomenon of an electrical frequency on control and the mechanical natural oscillation frequency of an induction machine by making the pulse patterns to be fixed uniform. SOLUTION: At the time of DC brake, the operation state of a pulse forming logic 3 is inputted to a CPU 1 through, for example, a signal line 9 from an AND circuit 7. When this state is inputted thereto, the count value for switching patterns of pulses outputted by the pulse forming logic 3 is written from the CPU 1 to a timer counter 2. The timer counter 2 outputs the one shot for switching to the pulse forming logic 3 after the end of the counting. As a result, the pulse forming logic 3 shifts the pulse patterns and selects and fixes the pulse patterns at which the DC brake is most applied, thereby controlling the deceleration of a motor 5.
