PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To safely and securely extinguish a fire in an inaccessible place for a person. SOLUTION: A fire extinguisher is provided with a metallic pipe 12 provided along a fire preventive monitoring route and having a longitudinal cutout 12b, a sealing wire member 17 capable of sealing the cutout, a first and a second fluid supply means capable of supplying a fluid 15 having a fire extinguishing function from the one end or the other end of the metallic pipe 12, an internal moving body 18 capable of moving inside the metallic pipe 12, a wire-member drawing-in part 18c formed inside the internal moving body 18 for drawing in the sealing wire member 11, a fluid passage 18e provided inside the internal moving body and having first and second flow inlets, a connecting pipe 22 connected to the internal moving body 18 and whose end is projected to the outside of the metallic pipe 12 through a slot in which the sealing wire member is drawn and also communicated with the fluid passage 18e, first and second solenoid valves constituted in such a way that the first and second flow inlets can be opened or closed, a spray nozzle 27 fitted to the end of the connecting pipe 22 and capable of discharging the fluid into the fire protective monitoring route, and a controller.
