PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To obtain a fiber structure simultaneously satisfying highly durable deodorizing, antibacterial, antimildew, and antisoiling functions by disposing a titanium/silicon composite oxide particle layer to the surface of a fiber structure consisting mainly of specific polyester-based fibers through a specific intermediate layer. SOLUTION: This fiber structure having functional properties is obtained by forming the layer of titanium/silicon composite oxide particles having a particle diameter of 1-20 nm and a specific surface area of 100-300 m2/g on the fiber surfaces of a fiber structure through an intermediate layer such as a titanium peroxide particle layer, a zeolite layer, a silicone- or fluorine-based resin-fixed zeolite layer or an alkyl silicate layer. The fiber structure contains >=50 wt.% of polyester-based fibers which contains inactive titanium dioxide in an amount of 0.3-5 wt.% and has a modified cross section coefficient of 1.2-2. The titanium/silicon composite oxide particles are adhered to the fiber surfaces in an amount of 0.1-30 wt.% based on the fiber structure. |
