PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To prepare a hairdressing composition capable of restraining hair stickiness, capable of imparting gloss and smoothness to the hair, and useful for a hair foam or the like not including silicone oil or the like by adding a predetermined quantity of seaweed extract to Jojoba alcohol from natural products. SOLUTION: This hairdressing composition comprises (A) N- methacroyloxyethylN, N-dimethylammoniumα-N-methylcarboxybetaine/alkyl methacrylate copolymer, (B) Jojoba alcohol (C) seaweed extract. It is pref. that 0.001-0.5 pts.wt. the component B is included based on 1 pt.wt. the component A, that 0.05-10 pts.wt. the component C is included based on 1 pt.wt. the component B and that the component B is obtained by reducing yellow, transparent oily liquid oil from Jojoba Simmondsia chinensis dried seeds with metallic sodium.
