PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To construct a simulator having a high-grade calculation function, a movement display function, and a state variable monitor function by dispersively arranging three calculators. SOLUTION: This design support device for a construction machine is provided with an operation lever 3 formed in imitation of the operation lever of the construction machine, a first calculation device 2 simulating the construction machine on the basis of data necessary for the design of the construction machine and operation data from the operation lever, a data memory 5 storing the simulation data calculated by the first calculation device 2, a second calculation device 6 displaying as images the movement of the structures constituting the construction machine on the basis of the simulation data, and a third calculation device 7 displaying in a specified state the state variables of respective structures constituting the construction machine on the basis of the simulation data. Each calculation device is operated independent of other calculation devices.
