PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To produce a woven fabric for a noncoated air bag capable of providing a lighter weight, compacting and lower air permeability while holding mechanical characteristics required for the woven fabric for the air bag, excellent in economical efficiency and having a soft touch feeling. SOLUTION: This woven fabric for a noncoated air bag has characteristics satisfying the following 5 formulae: (1) ST 5% (warp)+ST 5% (weft)<=1.2 g/d, (2) AP<=0.5 cc/cm2/s, (3) W<=205 g/m2, (4) S (warp)+S (weft)<=220 mm and (5) T<=0.30 mm [ST 5% is a value (g/d) obtained by dividing the strength of the woven fabric at the time of 5% elongation by the total fineness of a raw yarn in the tensile direction; AP is the air permeability (125 Pa differential pressure by the Frazier method) (cc/cm2/s); W is the weight of the woven fabric (g/m2); S is the stiffness (a cantilever method) (mm); T is the thickness (mm) of the woven fabric].
