PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a pulverized coal burning boiler that plans uniformization of temperatures in a boiler furnace. SOLUTION: In a boiler 1 in which a pulverized coal flow pulverized by a mill 2 and mixed with air is burned, a thin/thick separator 8 for separating the pulverized coal flow discharged from the mill 2 into a thick pulverized coal flow having a thick concentration and a thin pulverized coal flow having a thin concentration, a thick coal flow burner disposed at a side wall side of a boiler furnace for burning the separated thick pulverized coal flow and a thin coal flow burner disposed at a center of the boiler furnace for burning the separated thin pulverized coal flow are provided.
