PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To attain the higher accuracy of boiling detection and allow the use of a thinner lid for a rice cooker using a temperature sensor more compact than the conventional case. SOLUTION: This rice cooker is formed out of an outer lid 32 for covering the upper opening of a rice cooker body having a pan, a radiator plate 47 for attaching a heater having a steam passage port 46a laid on the lower surface of the outer lid 32, a cylindrical radiator plate packing laid outside the steam passage port 46a of the radiator plate 17 and formed to have a diameter slightly larger than the diameter of the steam passage port 46a, and an inner lid 45 with packing for the lower side of the radiator plate packing 49 to come in contact and used for covering the opening of the pan. The radiator plate 47 has a temperature sensor 48 at the outer lid surface part, and this sensor 48 is fixed inside the radiator plate packing 49 near the steam passage port 46a. Also, the temperature sensor 48 is fastened with an aluminum foil and an adhesive double coated tape.
