PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To obtain the subject sheet having uniform adhesiveness, excellent skin strength and lightweight properties, useful as a cushioning material, or the like, by subjecting a foamable sheet of an olefin-based resin to radiation exposure from the opposite side of the sheet so as to make a fixed part from one side of the sheet uncrosslinked and foaming the sheet by heating. SOLUTION: A foamable sheet of an olefin-based resin such as a low-density polyethylene is irradiated, for example, with ionizing radiation having 300-1,00 Kv acceleration voltage and 1.5-8 Mrad exposure dose so as to make a part from one surface of the sheet to 20-60% sheet thickness uncrosslinked from the opposite side of the surface of the sheet and then expanded by heating to give the objective foamed sheet of an olefin-based resin. |
