PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To prevent a container body from being deformed by holding a raw cup paper of the size slightly smaller than the size of an opening part with a plastic layer, and forming it in a recessed shape by a lamination material. SOLUTION: For a cup material, a raw cup paper 22 which is a cardboard of approximately 300 g/m2 in weight is printed as necessary, and a polypropylene layer of about 15μm in thickness is formed on both sides thereof through extrusion coating. The raw cup paper is punched to the size slightly smaller than the size of an opening part of a container. For example, when the diameter of the opening part of the container is about 130 mm, the size of about 100 mm to 120 mm is preferable, though it is determined by the shape of the recessed part and the degree of recess. The punched raw cup paper 22 is held between a film forming an outer plastic layer 21 and a laminate film forming an inner plastic layer 23, and thermally bonded by a heat roller to manufacture a raw cup material illustrated in (A). A cup material of stepped shape at a peripheral edge part as illustrated in (B) is manufactured out of the raw cup material through the drawing.
