PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a washing method and device using bactericidal water whereby an area to be washed, such as a floor, mat, sheet, etc. can effectively be disinfected and washed from its surface to inside. SOLUTION: Bactericidal water produced by electrolysis and containing hypohalogenous acid having bactericidal capability is ejected toward an area to be washed (STP 2, 5), and thereby the hypohalogenous acid is brought into contact with the area to be washed in a high-temperature condition and the bactericidal action of the hypohalogenous acid can be remarkably enhanced. Miscellaneous germs etc., that are hard to kill by thermal action alone, are surely killed by infiltrating the bactericidal water into the area to be washed. Further, the dirt components decomposed, together with moisture, are removed from the area to be washed by suction (STP 4, 6), and moisture remaining in the area to be washed is surely removed by a drying process (STP 7).
