PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an egg packaging container wherein a lid can be simply opened/closed even after the lid has been once opened, a closed lid state can be kept, and eggs remaining after the lid is opened can be preserved in a refrigerator while they are in the packaging container with the lid closed. SOLUTION: This egg packaging container comprises a container body 1 which is provided by forming a synthetic resin sheet material in a bulging manner wherein a plurality of egg storage recesses 11 having a depth where a lower half of an egg can be received and a lid 2 for covering upper halves of the eggs, while the body 1 and the lid 2 are integrally formed via a holding part 5 on a side. An engaging tab 3 is formed on one of outer peripheries 12, 22 of the container body 1 and the lid 2 opposite to the folding part 5 when the lid is closed, and an insertion part 4 to be engaged with the engaging tab 3 is formed on the other.
