PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To prevent the occurrence of problems concerning environmental pollution completely by using acidic electrolytic water obtained by electrolyzing seawater and alkali reducing water individually for antifouling/cleaning method for a seawater contact structure. SOLUTION: An electrolytic water generator is installed in a seawater contact structure such as a ship, the ejection or ooze of acidic electrolytic water and alkali reducing water to the water contact surface of the structure is used individually and done, and the whole water contact surface of the structure is covered with the thin film of the acidic electrolytic water or the alkali reducing water. In this way, since marine microorganisms forming a slime layer formed on the water contact surface by hypochrorous acid in the acidic electrolytic water are killed, the adhesion of shellfishes and others to the structure can be prevented to improve environmental protection properties.
