PURPOSE: A preparing process of polyester film is provided, which has improved rust resistance by surface treatment with an aqueous acidic spread solution which contains an ammonium compounds. CONSTITUTION: A preparing process of polyester film is characterized by spreading an aqueous acidic solution on the surface of polyester resin which has limiting viscosity of 0.4-0.9dl/g and comprises ethyleneterephthalate up to 60mol.% per intermolecular main frequency. Dicyclohexy ammonium nitrite, colloidal alumina, aqueous polyester resin, aqueous polyurethane resin and aqueous acryl emulsion are dissolved in the aqueous acidic spread solution.
