PURPOSE: An improved manual pump pumps a material with high viscosity while containing a locking device for maintaining the manual pump at the best condition in each state such as storing, carrying, or using. CONSTITUTION: An improved manual pump contains a spring(70) with a lower end unit hung at a space projection(62) installed in a cylinder(20) and an opening and closing member(51) located under the end unit of the spring for securing a flow space(61) for the opening and closing member. Also a blocking projected unit is installed in one end unit of the projecting unit in a locking device for tapering the corners of a projection(36) and a projecting member(45).
