PURPOSE: Provided is an electric precipitator which supports and fixes an insulating member so that it prevents insulation of the insulating member from being broken. CONSTITUTION: The electric precipitator comprises the parts of: a frame; a tungsten wire(15) which is placed in the frame and flows high voltage; a ground section(12) which is placed in opposite to tungsten wire; an ionization section(10) which includes a ground plate(11) with a connection flange section(13) formed in a parallel to the long direction of tungsten wire to connect to each terminal section of the ground section; an insulating member(30) which is placed between tungsten wire and the connection flange section to insulate tungsten wire and the connection flange section; and a support rib(35) which is projected from a plate of the frame to support the insulating member with keeping the insulating member distant from tungsten wire.
