PURPOSE: Provided are the health food product containing chlorophylls and physiologically active valuable materials from sea tangle and the method of manufacturing the product. CONSTITUTION: Process contains the following steps; harvested sea kelp is immediately branched in boiling water, dehydrated by centrifugation or pressure; is dried in the drying apparatus, then crushed or naturally dried sea kelp harvested on spring season when sea kelp contains maximum level of chlorophyll contents, is crushed to make powder; 70 - 80 wt.% of sea kelp powder is mixed with 20 - 30 wt.% of binders such as water-containing glucose or lactose which makes the food to be easily digested, then granulated; the granule is dried up to retaining less than 10 wt.% of water; dried sea kelp granule is packed. Some additives, e.g. dextrin, iso-malto-oligo saccharine(IMO) which is suitable for diabetics; especially IMO enhances digestion by stimulating enteric lactobacillus, and keto acids which have anticancer, immunostimulatory effect, can be added to the binders.
