PAGER SERVICE METHOD USING DBS SYSTEM

PURPOSE: An apparatus for a calling service using a DBS system is provided to receive a calling service through a TV without a pager by using a DBS system. CONSTITUTION: A member receives a calling from other person(510). A pager company confirms a member's PID and transmits the PID to a local base station(520). The local base station transmits the PID and calling information of a user to a DBS(530). A satellite receiver receives the PID and the calling information from the DBS(540). In case the satellite receiver confirms a user's PID(550), a calling service is processed(560) and an OSD information informing a call is generated(580). OSD data are video-processed and displayed on a user's TV screen to inform a call(590).
