PROCESS FOR PREPARING SYNTHETIC MONOFILAMENT FOR PAINT BRUSH

PURPOSE: A process for preparing the subject synthetic resin mono-filaments by preparing mono-filaments in a shape of a starfish using polyethylene terephthalate resin and polybutylene terephthalate alone or blending and performing weight reduction processing is provided, thereby producing mono-filaments close to natural hair. CONSTITUTION: This process comprises the steps of: extruding polyethylene terephthalate resin, polybutylene terephthalate or polyethylene terephthalate/polybutylene terephthalate alloy through a spinning hole in starfish shape; preparing mono-filaments in starfish shape; and cutting the mono-filaments in a predetermined length; and dipping in 15 to 45% NaOH aqueous solution or KOH aqueous solution at 80-160deg.C for 0.5-3hr to perform weight reduction processing.
