发明名称 APPARATUS AND METHOD FOR CONTROL DRIVING OPTICAL PICKUP
摘要 PURPOSE: A control system driving of an optical pickup unit is provided to detects the movement and speed of an optical pickup unit exactly even though the optical pickup unit is moved at a low or high speed. CONSTITUTION: A servo controller(100) controls drive of a sled motor(108) and an actuator(104) depending on a speed zone of an optical pickup by receiving mirror signals, tracking cross signals and pulses of a sled motor encoder(110). An actuator control/drive unit(102) controls the actuator for moving the optical pickup under control of the servo controller. A sled motor control/drive unit(106) controls the sled motor for moving the optical pickup. The servo controller searches if the moving speed of the optical pickup is within a first zone. If so, the servo controller controls drive of the optical pickup by using mirror signals and tracking error signals. If the moving speed of the optical pickup unit is within a second zone, the servo controller controls the optical pickup with sled motor encoder pulses. Therefore, the optical pickup is controlled at a high or low speed with the mirror signals, the tracking error signals and the sled motor encoder pulses.
