PURPOSE: A method for preparing 2-oxoalkanephosphonate is provided to preform in one-step reaction, improve the yields and the complex purification procedures, decrease production cost, and simplify apparatus. CONSTITUTION: 2-Oxoalkanephosphonate(dialkyl 1-formyl or dialkyl betaketoalkanephosphonate) is produced by oxidizing dialkyl 1-alkylarylphosphonate with ozone as represented formula 4(wherein, R1 is hydrogen, C1-C10 alkyl, substituted or unsubstituted benzyl group, R2 is hydrogen, substituted or unsubstituted alkyl group, or benzyl group, and R3 and R4 have hydrogen or alkyl group). The method is preformed in one-step. The 2-oxoalkanephosphonate is an important compound for synthesizing alpha, beta-unsaturated carbonyl compound or amino alkanephosphonate.
