PURPOSE: An automatic method of driving a wiper and its control method are provided to automatically drive a wiper and a washer based on the state of visibility of the front part or the surface state of a window in the vehicle obtained through a camera and a humidity sensor installed in a proper place of the vehicle. CONSTITUTION: If an automatic mode is designated on the action of a device for automatically driving a wiper, a camera and a humidity sensor are driven. Then a reference image data value is compared with a reference humidity data value by inputting the humidity data through the humidity sensor and the image data through the camera. As the result of the comparison, if the input humidity data is judged as rain, a corresponding wiper is driven by analyzing the state of the field of vision. On the other hand, if the input image data is judged as the defect of the surface of the window, the washer and wiper are driven.
