PURPOSE: A method for transferring the information of a mobile telephone by sound is provided to make sure of the information of mobile telephone easily by providing user with the information of the mobile telephone by making use of sound. CONSTITUTION: A microprocessor determines whether the inputted mode is an RSSI(Received Signal Strength Indication) mode or a battery(BATT) mode(S30). If the RSSI mode is inputted, a received signal level detector detects a received level via a radio receiving unit(S31). The microprocessor determines the number of tone generating times according to the strength of the detected level(S32). A tone generator generates the sound of a certain tone as many as the determined number of tone generating times(S33). On the other hand, if the inputted mode is BATT mode(S34), a battery level detector detects a battery level from the battery(S35). The microprocessor determines the number of tone generating times according to the battery level(S36). A tone generator generates the sound of a certain tone as many as the determined number of tone generating times(S33).
