A WASHING MACHINE HAVING A DECHLORINATION DEVICE

PURPOSE: A control method of washing water supply to a washing machine is provided to prevent unnecessary consumption of a neutralizing agent by controlling a water supply path to flow washing water directly into a washing tub without passing through a dechlorinator. CONSTITUTION: A neutralizing agent valve(V2) is turned on to supply washing water to a washing tub via a neutralizing agent dissolving device when a user selects the level of washing water. A direct water supply valve(V1) is turned on to supply washing water to the washing tub directly without passing through the dissolving device when the water level reaches a specific degree. The washing water is supplied through a branch line having the direct water supply valve. If the water level of the washing tub reaches the selected water level, the direct water supply valve is turned off. Thereby, the washing water is not supplied no longer. All of the direct water supply valve and the neutralizing agent valve are turned off to close a washing water supply line(2). Therefore, an excess amount of neutralizing agent is not used.
