A lithophane-like article and a method of forming such an article, for examp le formed of plastics, confectionery product, soap, wax or liquid, by determini ng the intensity of different points of an original image (1), and forming the article with a thickness at each point of the article related to the intensi ty of the corresponding point of the original image (1). Preferable, the articl e is formed by forming a mould, and moulding the article.
