The closure is formed by a collar (1) and a tube or spout (2) of diameter slightly greater than an axial hole in the collar through which it passes. At one end of the tube is an enlarged flange (4), either integral with the tube body or a separate component. The opposite end of the tube has an internal stopper (3) which may function as a tap or dosing valve. The internal surface of the collar and/or the surface of the tube flange may be coated in material forming a seal with the surfaces of a flexible container into which the closure is inserted. The two components are locked together during installation by a lever, spring, or other mechanical action.
