Pads having a honeycomb structure are manufactured by cutting a paper material (100) into a number of paper sheets (108), applying a number of strips (101, 102) of adhesive material onto the paper sheets alternatively superposing the paper sheets for allowing the paper sheets to be secured together into a stacked material by the strips of adhesive material, cutting the stacked material into a number of segments (10a) which are then rotated about 90 degrees, securing the segments together into a honeycomb member (106) stretching the honeycomb member, applying and securing a pair of cover sheets (2, 3) onto the upper surface and the lower surface of the honeycomb member for forming a prototype. The prototype is then cut into a number of pads such that the pads may be easily and quickly manufactured. |
