PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To obtain a water-base ink for ball-point pens which has smooth, light writing properties both initially and after a long period of time without having blotting handwriting by containing a colorant, water and 2,5- dimercapto-1,3,4-thiadiazole oligomers. SOLUTION: 0.1-40 wt.% of a colorant comprising dyes such as acidic dyes, direct dyes and the like and pigments, 0.2-20 pts.wt. of a dispersant based on 10 pts.wt. of the pigment as necessary, 0.01-5 wt.% of oligomers of dimer to decamer of 2,5-dimercapto-1,3,4-thiadiazole, water, 5-40 wt.% of a water soluble organic solvent as necessary, a viscosity modifier such as (non)crosslinked poly- N-vinyl carboxylic acid amide, polyvinyl alcohol, polyvinyl methyl ether, polyethylene oxide, copolymer of vinyl acetate-polyvinyl pyrrolidone and additives such as fungicidal agents, antirust agents, pH regulators and the like are blended, mixed and triturated. |
