PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To prevent packing materials from sticking to each other when they are stacked for storage by respectively applying, to faces at both ends, an adhesive which exhibits adhesive strength when applied faces are overlaid and rarely exhibits adhesive strength when an applied face is overlaid on a non- applied face. SOLUTION: An emulsion-type adhesive is applied or blown to a surface of one of ends 3 or to a rear face of the other end 4 of a corner protector 6 comprising a strip-like corrugated fiberboard material which is shaped like a ring so as to form adhesive applied faces 6c, 6d. A pressure adhesive mainly containing a rubber-based pule yellow-colored latex may be used as the adhesive. Thus an adhesive face once dried does not exhibit adhesive strength even if it is overlaid on a face without the adhesive applied of the corrugated fiberboard material. Therefore, at the time of stacking the materials for storage, since the adhesive applied face 6c or 6d is overlaid on the non-applied face of the adhesive of another corner protector 6, adhesive strength may not be exhibited, whereby the corner protectors may not stick to each other.
