PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To imbed supplementary information to image data by way of deep layer encryption. SOLUTION: A table-generating means 3 generates a table that indicates, to which color coordinate in a 2nd color space a color coordinate of a 1st color spaces is to be mapped, based on a quantization error in the case of converting image data S0 residing in the 1st color space to the 2nd color space which is a conversion destination. A coding means 2 encodes information H0 to be imbedded by referencing the table to obtain coded supplementary information H1. In converting the image data S0 by a color conversion means 1, the supplementary information H1 is imbedded in a quantization error, to obtain image data S1 to which the supplementary information H1 is imbedded.
