PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a blade traverse device capable of eliminating the bend of a yarn route at a return point of a traverse locus as much as possible, and surely delivering the yarn between upper and lower traverse blades. SOLUTION: A blade traverse device is provided with a traverse guide 4 having a guide surface 10 to form a traverse locus of a yarn leading to a contact roller 3 and two traverse blades a, b to be rotated in the direction opposite to each other while advancing/retracting to/from the guide surface 10 so that the yarn is delivered at right and left returning points a, b of the guide surface 10 and the yarn is carried in the right-to-left direction along the guide surface 10, and yarn guides 8, 9 to stabilize the yarn route leading to the contact roller 3 from the guide surface 10 in the vicinity of the returning points a, b are provided.
