PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To structure a compact steamer equipped with refrigeration function without substantially altering the shape and structure of a conventional steamer. SOLUTION: First, as the basic structure of the steamer, a showcase main body 3 is piled on the top of a base part 2 housing a steam generating means to make the steamer with existent structure. Then, a head part 4 is piled on the top of the showcase to incorporate the evaporator 6 of a freezing cycle 5 in the part 4 and the compresser 7 of the cycle 5 and a condenser 8 thermally exchanging a coolant compressed by the compresser 5 with outer air to condense are incorporated in the part 2. Finally, the part 2, the main body 3 and the part 4 are integrated in the state of a tower. Thus, the whole shape is not much different from the existent steamer and becomes very compact.
