PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an excavator shortening the length of a hydraulic hose from the ground side, dispensing with winding/rewinding of the hydraulic hose in operation, elongating its life, and improving the workability of the excavation. SOLUTION: This excavator is provided with a first hydraulic cylinder 13 with a single acting spring, a remote control part 10 which is connected to a hydraulic hose G extended from a hydraulic unit placed on the ground side, suspended by a crane, and waited upward without raising/lowering, a easing 23 which is freely raised and lowered via a weight 22 attached to the bottom end of a raising/lowering wire (c) raised and lowered by the crane and is so suspended as to be connected to and separated from the remote control part 10, a bucket 21 opened/closed freely in the bottom of the casing 23, and a second accumulator 28 generating a force closing the bucket 21 in the casing 23. This is also formed of an excavating body 20 with a force opening the bucket 21 obtained from the first hydraulic cylinder 13.
