PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To sufficiently secure a space in the vicinity of the knee side of a drive by arranging a transmission mechanism and a shift lock mechanism with excellent layout performance. SOLUTION: In this device, a transmission mechanism 10 for transmitting operation of a shift lever 3 by a driver to a transmission and a shift lock mechanism 30 for regulating actuation of the transmission mechanism 10 in a prescribed driving state, are dispersively arranged in a position on the vehicle longitudinal direction front side to a steering column 4 as well as in mutually opposite side positions in the vehicle width direction by sandwiching the steeling column 4.
