PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a mat for a light emitting sign floor, which can be easily installed on a floor face and enables light emitting sign display which positively uses the floor face. SOLUTION: Surface side pattern parts such as characters and design signs are excised from a floor mat, and the excised parts are made to emit the light from the backside by using an EL light emitting sheet 4. A light transmitting resin is embedded in excised parts such as characters and figures to carry out EL light emitting from the back surface. Circumferential parts except the light emitting surface of the EL light emitting sheet 4 to be attached to the backside of a floor mat are protected with rubber or a resin, and a boundary part between the light emitting surface and the protecting parts of rubber or resin is worked not to have a step between them. Grooves or the like are formed on the surface side, where the rubber or resin for protecting the EL light emitting sheet comes into contact with the floor, to have an area ratio of 50% or less, and are provided with the rubber or resin for protecting the EL light emitting sheet.
